Live! Casino & Hotel announced today that construction of the new SPORTS & SOCIAL dining and entertainment venue is now underway with a projected opening in Winter 2021. The $12 million project, designed by the internationally-acclaimed I-Crave Design, will transform the space formerly occupied by Live! Center Stage into a one-of-a-kind restaurant, gaming and social lounge for those seeking the ultimate sports fan experience.
Serving a Classic American Grill menu perfect for watching the game or a night out, the 212-seat Sports & Social is a perfect blend of sports viewing excellence with integrated casino and social games. The venue will feature a state-of-the-art AV system with more than 100 linear feet of LED screens, including a giant, 47-foot wide main screen. Every guest will be able to watch at least 10 games at once. In addition, Sports & Social will feature two main bars, luxurious VIP lounges, tiered sports viewing lounge chairs, casino games such as blackjack and roulette, as well as an assortment of interactive social games including mini-bowling and oversized foosball. Located in the heart of the casino floor, Sports & Social is designed to bring the energy of the casino into the venue.
Sports & Social is also designed to seamlessly incorporate and launch sports betting in the venue should Maryland voters approve Question 2 on Election Day, thereby expanding the gaming and entertainment options available to its guests. Through its partnership with FanDuel, and pending regulatory approval, the venue will provide guests with multiple options to wager, including self-service kiosks and retail windows, all within sight of the big game.

Question 2 is a referendum question on the November 3, 2020 Maryland ballot that asks voters to weigh in on whether to authorize sports and events betting at licensed facilities to fund education in the State of Maryland. If approved by voters, the referendum authorizes the General Assembly to approve legislation that would allow the State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission to issue sports betting licenses.
