The AAA Four Diamond-rated Live! Casino & Hotel announced today the key appointment of WILLIAM “BILL” GIDEON as Executive Chef of the premier gaming and entertainment destination.
In this position, Chef Gideon will be a key contributor to the culinary operations across Live! Casino & Hotel’s award-winning restaurants. This includes the Greater Baltimore Area’s Zagat-rated #1 steakhouse, The Prime Rib®, David’s, known for its global menu creations and all-day breakfast items, and Luk Fu and 8 at Luk Fu, serving authentic sushi and Asian cuisine. He will also play a vital role in ensuring all dining operations continue to adhere to the vigorous hygiene and health measures established in Live!’s enhanced Play it Safe program.
Chef Gideon is a hospitality veteran with nearly 40 years of culinary experience and has been nominated for many prestigious awards including the James Beard Foundation as Top Hotel Chef. Prior to joining Live!, he was the executive chef at the Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa in Calvert County, MD, and was responsible for establishing the Rod ‘N’ Reel as the region’s premiere destination for dining and events. Chef Gideon was also the Executive Chef at the famed Coral Beach and Tennis Club in Paget, Bermuda, Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, Florida, and River City Casino & Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. Additionally, he worked for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and owned his own restaurant in Western Massachusetts.
Throughout his career, he had the privilege of serving numerous celebrities, politicians and foreign dignitaries, including: President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, King Hussein and Queen Rania of Jordan, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Sylvester Stallone and Julia Child.
